EFEKTIVITAS FORMULASI SALEP EKSTRAK DAUN GATAL (Laportea aestuans) TERHADAP LUKA BAKAR PADA KELINCI (Oryctolagus cuniculus)
Abstract

ABSTRACT
Papua is an area that has abundant natural resources, one of which is the diversity of plants that live in nature. Papua is estimated to have thousands of plant species (John, 1997; Atamimi, 1997), many of which are used as medicines. One of the native Papuan plants that can be used as medicine is Daun gatal (Laportea Aestuans). In Indonesia, research on daun gatal has been carried out, but until now there has been no scientific testing information for extracts daun gatal (Laportea aestuans) on healing burns, thus encouraging researchers to make ethanol extracts daun gatal which were tested on Rabbit. Researchers conducted a test with the aim of knowing the effectiveness of ethanol extract daun gatal on healing burns in rabbits and to determine the most effective dose of ethanol extract daun gatal in healing burns in rabbits. The selection of samples daun gatal was carried out in the Sorong district with the help of the local community. The method used in the manufacture of extract daun gatal is the maceration method. In this study, ethanol extract ointment daun gatal was made with various concentrations of 20%, 25% and 30%. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the ethanol extract ointment daun gatal (Laportea Aestuans) with concentrations of 20%, 25% and 30% has a burn healing effect. The results of the test on rabbits after applying the extract ointment daun gatal there was a reduction in the diameter of the wound. The most effective dose that provides wound closure activity in rabbits is a concentration of 30%.
